Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you type a name or a date of birth into one of the search boxes on this site, the entry passes straight to the outside provider that runs the search. That company processes the query and returns the results. Nothing is stored or logged on this end.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send an email, that message is kept so it can be answered. It stays inside this organization. It is not shared outside unless a legal obligation forces it.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page loads, the servers behind it record a small set of technical details about the visit:
- The IP address your device is using
- Your browser and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you opened and how long each one stayed on screen
- The site that referred you here, when there is one
- A timestamp for every page view
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, which are small files placed on your device. They show which pages draw traffic and where visitors tend to leave. Analytics services group that traffic into totals. You can block cookies in your browser at any time, though some parts of the site may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
The information described above is used for a short list of operational purposes:
- Keeping the site online and loading quickly
- Passing your search request to the correct partner service
- Learning which pages help readers and which ones need work
- Diagnosing and fixing technical problems
- Serving advertising that may match your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell any database of warrants or of personal warrant-record information. What it publishes is general guidance about where Baltimore City warrant records sit and how to check them, through the Maryland Judiciary case index, the clerks who keep the files, and the Baltimore City Sheriff's Office. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing collected about visitors is turned into a consumer report or a file on any third party.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on this site are operated by outside companies. Anything typed into those tools is handled under the partner's own privacy policy rather than this one. Those partners decide how long they keep data and who else sees it, and this site does not control those choices. Read the partner's policy before submitting a search.
Links to Other Websites
Pages here link out to Maryland Judiciary pages, the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, District Court locations, the sheriff's office, the Baltimore Police Department records office, and outside search tools. Following one of those links takes you off this site. From that point the other site's privacy policy governs the visit, so read it before sharing personal details.
Some advertising partners track activity across sites to target ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not on this one.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Some information can still reach:
- Search partners that handle the queries you run here
- Analytics providers used to measure traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place advertisements on these pages
- Law enforcement or a government body when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Standard security practices are used to protect what is collected. No system connected to the internet is airtight, though. Reasonable steps are taken, and a breach can never be ruled out completely.
Users Under 18
This site is written for adults. Personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent data, say so and it will be deleted.
Your Data Rights
Maryland access law shapes what a person can ask for. The Maryland Public Information Act, General Provisions Article, Title 4, Sections 4-101 through 4-601, gives the public the right to inspect records held by a state or local agency, subject to the exemptions in that title. A request for an official court file follows Maryland judicial record rules instead, and goes to the clerk where the case was filed.
For data held by this site, you can at a minimum:
- Ask what is held about you
- Have inaccurate information corrected
- Ask for your data to be erased
- Opt out of certain kinds of processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy can change. A revised version appears on this page with a new effective date when it does. Check back if you want to follow how visitor information is handled.
