This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. Baltimore City Warrant Records is a privately run reference site. It cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear a warrant, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice for anyone. For any of those, contact the issuing court or the sheriff's office directly.
Need Official Warrant Information?
These are the questions readers ask most often, and the office that answers each one in Baltimore City:
- Whether a warrant exists: start with Maryland Judiciary Case Search, then call the clerk where the case was filed, because the docket summary is not a clearance
- A bench warrant from a missed court date: the District Court location that set the case, or the Circuit Court Criminal Division for a felony matter
- Resolving or clearing a warrant: a Maryland attorney and the issuing court handle a recall motion, a new hearing date, or a bond order
- An arrest warrant tied to a charge: the issuing court sets the charge and the bond, and the sheriff's office serves the warrant
- A ticket or city citation: the District Court location where the case was filed, plus the statewide Traffic Processing Center
The table below lists the offices with public counters or phone lines, and the number each one publishes.

The Circuit Court Criminal Division sits in Room 200 of the Clarence M. Mitchell, Jr. Courthouse at 100 N. Calvert Street, and it is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Circuit Court clerk's office is at 111 N. Calvert Street and can be reached at 410-333-3733. The District Court locations keep the same weekday schedule: Wabash at 5800 Wabash Avenue, Hargrove at 700 E. Patapsco Avenue, Eastside at 1400 E. North Avenue, and North Calvert at 500 N. Calvert Street. The sheriff's office is in Room 104 at 100 N. Calvert Street. The Traffic Processing Center takes mail at P.O. Box 6676, Annapolis, MD 21401.
Records held by the Baltimore Police Department are requested in writing from the Office of Legal Affairs at 242 W. 29th Street, Baltimore, MD 21211, or by email to dcu@baltimorepolice.org. Court records are not requested that way. Ask the clerk where the case was filed, because a case file follows the court rather than the police department.
Note: Expect metal detector screening at every courthouse, and call before traveling because counter hours and room assignments change.
A Warning About Warrant Calls
No Maryland court and no sheriff's office calls a person to demand payment by phone to clear a warrant. The Baltimore City Sheriff's Office publishes a scam warning about callers who ask for gift cards, money transfers, or a mobile payment app and then tell the person to stay on the line. Caller identification can be faked.
If a call like that comes in, hang up and dial the published number of the court or the sheriff's office yourself. Ask the clerk whether a warrant exists on the case. A caller's claim is not proof of anything.
